RECAP: Boys JV vs Skyview

The Camas Boys JV basketball team, travelled to Skyview Friday, in a rematch with the Storm, following the Makers double overtime home win, on January 14th.  

The Papermakers found themselves trailing by 8 points, going into halftime.  Responding strong to start the 3rd, the Makers relied on their defense to create turnovers, leading to fast break scoring opportunities.  Adding efficient perimeter shooting, Camas erased the Storm’s halftime lead.  

Capping off the 3rd Quarter, sophomore Max Rehrer, knocked down a buzzer beating 3-pointer, as the Papermakers outscored Skyview, 20-7, taking the lead 43-38.  

Leading scorers for the Papermakers:  Sophomore’s Gavin Clarke (15 points); Max Rehrer (12 points); Tanner Werry (11 points); Kyle Lindbergh (8 points), with freshman Cason Thompson adding 9 points.  

The Papermakers withstood a late Skyview rally, to come away with a 61-57 victory, extending their winning streak to 10 games.
